About Us

Pastor Les is a bi-vocational pastor who works as a Lead Analyst/Programmer and is serving as a volunteer to start this new church. He has experience in endeavors like this, having started a church in Kingsley, IA in 1997. Most recently, he served as pastor of the Viola Bible Church for ten years.

Pastor Les was ordained as a deacon in 1986, licensed to the ministry in 1993, then ordained by Viola Bible Church in 2009. In addition to these ministries he has served as an officer in the Pioneer-Western Baptist Association and the Minnesota-Wisconsin Baptist Convention (MWBC). He served as president of the MWBC for two years.

The Viola Bible Church is the sponsoring church for this work. This church is over 150 years old! The church is a very mission-minded church and has been planning this church start in the Chester Woods area for over three years.

This church is a member of the Southern Minnesota Baptist Association (SMNBA), which represents 19 churches in southern Minnesota.

The church is also affiliated with the Minnesota-Wisconsin Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention, the denomination of Billy Graham.
